The Classical Liberal Arts Academy has specific refund policies that vary depending on the type of purchase you make. Understanding these policies before enrolling will help you make informed decisions about your educational investment.
Before you begin
- Review the specific refund policy for your purchase type before enrolling
- Contact CLAA support if you have questions before making a purchase
- Remember that refunds are generally not available once you access course content
Refund policies by purchase type
- Individual Course Enrollments Individual course purchases are refundable until you access the course in the Academy Study Center. Once you enroll in and access the course content using your paid enrollment, the payment becomes non-refundable.
- Monthly Subscription Plans Monthly subscription plans (Student Plan, Family Plan, Premium Student Plan, Premium Family Plan, Private Tutoring) provide immediate access to courses and services when created. You can cancel your subscription at any time. However, refunds are only available for the first month if you have not yet accessed any course content as a subscriber.
- Annual Subscription Plans Annual subscriptions are designed for experienced users planning to study for the full year and include two free months as a reward for the yearly commitment. These payments are not refundable under any circumstances unless you have never accessed a course as a subscriber AND you request a refund within 7 days of payment.
- Tutoring and Consultation Services Tutoring and consultation appointments cannot be canceled or refunded once scheduled and paid for, as CLAA immediately adjusts schedules for these meetings.
- Books and Apparel No refunds or returns are permitted for books or apparel unless CLAA delivers a product different from what you ordered. These purchases should be considered financial contributions to the Academy.
How to cancel your subscription
To cancel a subscription plan:
- Log into your CLAA website account (not the Study Center)
- Navigate to your account management section
- Locate your active subscription
- Select the cancel subscription option
- Confirm the cancellation
Important notes
- CLAA does not maintain a customer service staff for financial matters
- Always ask for help before making purchases if you have questions
- “Access” means enrolling in a course on the Academy Study Center using your paid enrollment method
- Annual subscriptions are intended for experienced users only, not new users seeking discounts
