Can enrollment be paused or canceled?

Learn how to cancel CLAA subscriptions, understand refund policies, and explore alternatives to pausing your classical education enrollment.

Yes, CLAA enrollment can be canceled at any time, but pausing options depend on your enrollment type. Here’s what you need to know about managing your CLAA enrollment.

Before you begin

  • Determine your current enrollment type (subscription plan or individual course purchase)
  • Review the refund policy to understand what charges may apply
  • Consider contacting CLAA support before making changes if you have questions

Understanding your enrollment options

CLAA offers two main enrollment types, each with different cancellation and pause policies:

  1. Subscription Plans – Monthly recurring access to all courses
  2. Individual Course Purchases – One-time payments for specific courses

Canceling subscription plans

  1. Contact CLAA directly to cancel your subscription
  2. Request immediate cancellation to avoid future charges
    • Subscriptions can be canceled at any time
    • You retain access until the end of your current billing period
    • No automatic renewal after cancellation
  3. Understand refund limitations
    • Monthly subscriptions: Refunds only available if you haven’t accessed any courses as a subscriber
    • Annual subscriptions: Refunds only available within 7 days of payment and if no courses have been accessed
    • Once you access courses through your subscription, the current period is non-refundable

Managing individual course purchases

Individual course enrollments cannot be paused or canceled in the traditional sense because:

  • Courses purchased individually have no expiration date
  • You can study at your own pace indefinitely
  • No recurring charges apply to individual course purchases

Refund policy for individual courses

  • Full refund available until you access the course on the Study Center
  • Once you enroll in and access a course, the payment becomes non-refundable
  • “Access” means enrolling in the course through the Study Center using your paid enrollment

Pausing enrollment options

CLAA does not offer formal “pause” options, but you have these alternatives:

  • For subscriptions: Cancel and re-enroll later when ready to resume studies
  • For individual courses: Simply stop studying temporarily – your access never expires
  • For family situations: Contact CLAA support to discuss temporary arrangements

Important notes

  • Course access through subscription plans ends immediately when the subscription is canceled or suspended
  • Individual course purchases provide permanent access regardless of subscription status
  • CLAA does not maintain customer service staff for financial matters – contact them before making purchases if you have questions
