There is a problem in Catholic homeschooling that all Catholic homeschool programs are ignoring, but which we are going to solve in the Classical Liberal Arts Academy.  When we solve it, the fruits are going to be amazing. The problem is that Catholics cannot settle for modern secular school standards, but must exceed them so that they can pursue the higher studies commended to us as necessary (not optional) by the wise men and saints of history. In Lesson 38 of the Baltimore Catechism II course, we learn that, “Prayer is the lifting up of our minds and hearts to God to adore Him, to thank Him for His benefits, to ask His forgiveness, and to beg of Him all the graces we need whether for soul or body.” (Baltimore Catechism II, Question 34.)
