Who Was St. Barnabas? Today the Church celebrates the feast of St. Barnabas, a lesser-known but deeply influential figure in the Acts of the Apostles. Though not one of the original Twelve Apostles, Barnabas was honored with the title “apostle” because of his deep faith and tireless work in spreading the Gospel.
