In Greek Vocabulary, we are studying an old Greek book, which gives us a good exercise in the real work of classical studies. We need to learn to make use of such texts. The text we are studying is a Greek version of the text we study in Latin Vocabulary, and it is intended to be studied by students who have already studied the Latin Vocabulary course. In TRV-311 Latin Reading II, students study the epistes of the Roman philosopher and statesmen Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC). Cicero, or “Tully” as he’s called in literature, is considered the master of the Latin language and has been the model for all Latin studies throughout Christian history. I provide students with free access to the Loeb Classical Library, where all of the works of Cicero can be found–both the original Latin text and English translations. This year, I will be following a very simple rule for managing the studies of Premium Students. I want to share this rule with all families because I don’t believe it’s difficult to follow.
