Welcome to the Classical Liberal Arts Academy

Welcome to the Classical Liberal Arts Academy

My name is William Michael, and I’d like to welcome you to the Classical Liberal Arts Academy. If you’re looking for a timeless, trustworthy and affordable source for Catholic education—whether for your children or for yourself—you’ve come to the right place.

I Founded the Academy with My Wife in 2008

My wife Dania and I founded the Academy in 2008. I’ve been working as a Catholic educator and classicist for over twenty years. My wife Dania is a homeschooling mother of ten children and provides support for homeschooling families studying with us. Together, we work full-time for the Academy, and serve as Lay Dominicans in the Catholic Church. This work is not a business for us. It’s a mission—a work of religious service to make real classical Catholic education available to families in the 21st century.

Our Mission in the Academy

The mission of the Classical Liberal Arts Academy is simple and straightforward. We are working to research, restore, publish, and teach the classical Catholic curriculum—the very same curriculum that formed history’s greatest philosophers and saints, built the Church’s most famous schools, and guided Catholic civilization for centuries.

The Classical Catholic Curriculum

In the Academy, we teach the full classical Catholic curriculum. That means the seven liberal arts—grammar, logic, and rhetoric in the Trivium; arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy in the Quadrivium. We go on to study classical philosophy and Catholic theology, following the same course of studies that was taught in Catholic schools from the early Church through modern times. We also study classical literature, world history, the lives of the saints, and Sacred Scripture. Everything is grounded in the wisdom of the Catholic tradition.

We Also Meet Modern Requirements

Alongside the classical curriculum, we provide a complete set of modern academic courses. We offer English language arts, modern math, the sciences, and foreign languages. Our goal is to make sure that students not only receive a classical formation, but also meet the expectations for graduation and college admission—without compromising their faith or their studies. We call this responsible classical Catholic education.

We’re Accredited by Cognia

The Academy is fully accredited by Cognia, one of the leading international accrediting agencies. That means our courses and transcripts are accepted by schools and universities around the world. If you’re looking for a credible academic program, you’ll find that here.

We Welcome Students of All Ages

The Academy is open to students of all ages. We have children, high school students, college students, parents, and adult learners studying with us from around the world. All of our courses are self-paced and available year-round, so anyone can begin or resume their studies at any time.
