The CLAA Will Become Simpler Over Time

St. Thomas Aquinas has triumphed before, and he will tuimph again.

Last week, I published Study Plans for the Classical Liberal Arts Academy that marked a great milestone in the Academy’s development. With the publication of those Study Plans, parents and students were provided with a much clearer vision for how real classical Catholic studies can be enjoyed in the 21st century.

This, however, is just the beginning.

In 2024-2025, the Classical Liberal Arts Academy will become simpler and clearer. I will continue to work to make classical Catholic education easier to understand. I will continue to make classical Catholic studies more efficient. I will continue to make classical Catholic studies more affordable.

My goal in restoring real classical Catholic education is not merely to create a study program for a niche market. My goal is to restore classical Catholic education to its proper place as the wisest and best form of human education that exists.

We see with our successful accreditation that “the world” is not averse to real classical Catholic education. The excuses used to justify following the public shool model have been proven false. Non-Catholics have always recognized its excellence. Catholics have simply neglected it and have allowed it to fall to the point of almost being last—especially due to the selfish and short-sighted plans of Catholic publishers who attempted to sell a false version of “classical education”, invented by Protestants, to Catholic families, who should have known better, but did not. Such a delusion, if successful, would have had terrible effects on Catholic education.

There is no fast or easy way to complete the work that needs to be done. We will continue to “research, restore, publish and teach the classical liberal arts” as we have been doing since 2008. The progress, however, is advancing much more quickly than ever before. This coming school year, the following improvements will be seen:

  • courses and lessons will become easier to use
  • student planners will be aligned with grade level study plans
  • course completion certificates and transcripts will become available
  • assistants will be able to understand and help with Academy work
  • assignment grading will grow more efficient
  • the CLAA websites will grow simpler and easier to use
  • student achievement will increase noticeably
  • Colleges and universities will begin to take notice of CLAA students.

When our work is finished, classical Catholic education will, once again, be the most excellent form of education available in the world. The reason it will be so is because it alone is true, and it will become the simplest and most affordable system of education that exists.

Parents and students will see this develop over the next several years. I know where the Classical Liberal Arts Academy is going; it’s just a matter of time.
