As of 2am on 7/10/2024, I have posted the CLAA Homeschool Study Plans for Grades K-8.
This is especially good news, because I have never done this before for grades K-8, but I have prepared grades 9-12 in the past. So, the high school study plans should be up tomorrow.
This is a milestone in a massive project, which brings almost 25 years of curriculum research amd organization together.
This is a very rigorous program that will challenge all families. That was my goal in founding the CLAA. We cannot improve Catholi” education if we continue studying a watered-down modern curriculum. There’s no more excuse for low standards.
Best of all, all of the study materials for this curriculum are in the public domain, so there is no need for any book purchases, and the entire curriculum is hosted on the CLAA Study Center so there is no need for expensive homeschooling.
Over time, we will work to re-publish all of these study materials in clean simple print and make the online texts available to students at no cost and printed texts available for the cost of printing.
Once the Study Plans are finished and posted, I’ll move to begin preparations for the new school year.
I’m not sure how many schools have their entire curriculum mapped down to every individual lesson, but the Classical Liberal Arts Academy does. Now, knowing what we need to study, we.can direct all of our energy to studying it.
