K-12 Homeschool Study Plans Now Available

Dear friends,

Thanks be to God, I have been able to finish publishing homeschool study plans for all grades: K through 12. All of the guides are now accessible on the Homeschool page on the Academy website:

https://classicalliberalarts.com/homeschool

I have never done this before, so this marks a significant milestone the Academy’s development. Tasks for every subject area at every grade level are provided, all of which are available directly in the Classical Liberal Arts Academy using our simple Student Plan enrollment.

With this complete set of Study Plans now laid out, the Academy is challenged with the task of presenting all of the content to students, with efficient assessments, that allow them to develop and demonstrate their knowledge of all subjects. We now have a detailed guide for all of our activities: research, publishing, course development, teaching, assessment, etc..

The amount of content including in these Study Plans is overwhelming, for sure, but there’s nothing that can be dropped without significant consequences. Therefore, we are challenged not to find ways to water down the curriculum, but to find ways to cover all the content. That is the challenge we will need to undertake and achieve. I know, with God’s grace, we can do it and I’m excited to get to work at it.

While these plans are available for homeschool families to use freely, I will also be creating certificate courses on the Study Center for those who wish to formally pursue them in the Academy.

Before starting this next project, however, I need to get away from my desk. I’ve been working through all of these curriculum details for 18 hours a day for almost two weeks to get them all done as early in the summer as I could. In God’s providence, my wife is finishing her two summer courses this weekend, so we will both be free after a couple of busy months, and will be taking a few days to go camping next week with the kids.

I’d like to ask you to check out the published Study Plans and provide any feedback you can. If you see any problems or have any questions, please let me know. Having some fresh eyes on them will do good.

God bless you all,
Mr. William C. Michael, O.P.
