Questions

  • Is this program recognized by colleges and universities?
Yes. The Classical Liberal Arts Academy is fully accredited by Cognia, the world’s largest accrediting body for primary and secondary education. The CLAA diploma is accepted by colleges, scholarship programs, and other institutions that require proof of high school completion.
  • Do parents need to teach the lessons?
No. All lessons are prepared, assigned, assessed, and graded by the Academy. Parents are not responsible for planning, teaching, or grading. Their role is simply to help students stay focused, honest, and consistent in their daily work.
  • How long does it take to complete the program?
The program is designed to be completed in four years, but because it is self-paced and mastery-based, students may take more or less time as needed. Students are expected to study year-round and treat their education as a full-time responsibility.
  • Can we substitute courses from other programs?
Only in limited cases. Substitutions from accredited programs may be accepted for modern academic subjects such as math, science, or national history if proper documentation is provided. No substitutions are permitted for classical subjects, Latin, philosophy, or theology. We will not allow the use of other homeschool programs as substitutes for CLAA courses.
  • Are there teachers we can contact if we need help?
Yes. Enrollment includes access to daily live support by live chat and email. Students and parents can request tutoring or guidance as needed, and all communication is handled by experienced classical educators.
  • Is there a fixed schedule or school calendar?
No. Students are free to work at their own pace throughout the year. There are no semester deadlines, required vacation breaks, or daily login schedules. Credit is earned only when lessons are completed with mastery, regardless of how long that takes.
  • Do you issue transcripts and diplomas?
Yes. Official transcripts are maintained for all enrolled students and are available upon request. Diplomas are awarded upon successful completion of the full high school program.
