“I have been looking for a way or structure to follow classical education for some time. It has always been based on reading single books without any guidance. I’m 33 years old, so I needed something that was self-paced that I could combine with my daily responsibilities but most of all; an institution that is serious. This, I have found in the CLAA. Currently, I am studying Latin Reading IA and Classical Reasoning I, but most of my time goes to Classical Reasoning I. Classical Reasoning has been going well and I have the CLAA structure to thank for it. I noticed this recently when I started the second part of the course. Namely, Aristotle’s Categories. Of which I took a sneak peek of the first chapter when I started and couldn’t make much of it. Thanks to the CLAA including Porphyry’s introduction, as it has traditionally been taught, I have a feeling for the rhythm and vocabulary used by Aristotle and an understanding of what is being told.”

I am very grateful for the CLAA and all the efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Michael to bring Classical Catholic education to all the families that want it, and in such a simple and elegant format. I do wish I had known about the CLAA when theey began. I wouldnt have felt the need to send our first four children to high school. But, I am grateful for knowing about it now. This is precisely what I wanted for our homeschool, but never found. My goal in beginning with the CLAA has been to develop discipline and consistency. To that end, we have begun slowly and gently, but I am happy to report that this has been our most consistent academic experience yet. Other courses we have tried have not been as content-rich as those offered by the CLAA. I am very pleased with the reporting that helps me to check in on my children’s real progress. The rankings are motivating my children to persevere. I am relieved of grading, which is very liberating! I can just be Mom, and encourage them through difficulties. I am trying to join them for a portion of their study time both to encourage them and to give myself the quality of education I wanted as a child. My grade one year was my only experience of a somewhat Classical education, after which my peers and I became like guinea pigs for all kinds of educational experiments. I always longed for the quality of my first grade, and wanted that for my children, but was never able to afford it or to do it myself. I can not thank Mr. and Mrs. Michael enough for the great gift they have given to my family, and many others.

As a mom, I’ve been loving all the ‘left-brained’ components of the CLAA:
- the fact that my daughter can click on a button and find out which courses she needs to work on that day
- the lovely transcripts that can be generated in a moment and include how much time has been spent on each course
- the semester overviews that show what courses the kids have been working on and how they’re doing in each course
I love that I don’t need to lesson plan. I love that I don’t need to buy $750 worth of books every semester. I love that everything is easy to access and the website is simple and straight-forward. I love the quizzes and the feedback on assignments. My kids have found it very rewarding to work hard and get a good grade as a result. I love that much of the content is Catholic in nature. Beautiful!

As a student just finishing up my school years with the Classical Liberal Arts Academy, I can say with confidence that it was the best education I could have gotten. As a practicing Catholic, it was so refreshing to be using a program run by teachers that were on the same page as me. This is such a rare thing to find, and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to study under Mr. and Mrs. Michael. I would highly recommend the CLAA to anyone, especially those searching for a solid, classical education. You’ll find that right here.

The CLAA has transformed our family life after 22 years of homeschooling. I only wish I had this when the first of our eight children began. It is so simple, so elegant, so clear. It is also rigorous and challenging. It has set me free to be just Mom again. The CLAA does all the organizing, marking, grading, and record-keeping. It is AFFORDABLE, unlike so much of truly Catholic education online and offline. It is beautiful and flexible. Just take what works for your family…you can pick and choose the courses your children take. The accredited highschool diploma is VERY challenging and demanding, but I think if you start at the lower levels, regardless of your child’s age, your child will be ready for that work when it comes. It it’s too much, they provide you with everything you need for a transcript of the courses your child completes.

I wish I would’ve found this program when we started homeschooling. Not only are my children getting an excellent education, but we have structured our family life and schedule to pray more, spend more quality time together, get schoolwork and chores done more efficiently, and simplify all aspects of our life. The CLAA path has shown me how to make our home more peaceful and ordered. The program is rigorous, but the self-pacing and support makes it doable and rewarding for our family. Mr. and Mrs. Michael are knowledgeable (and generous with their time and knowledge) about the Catholic faith, Catholic parenting, and Classical Catholic education. We love the preschool Petty School, and my older children are working through Latin, Bible History, Catechism, Philosophy (Aesop’s fables), and all of their core classes. I am also taking courses in the adult certificiation program, and I love being able to learn Philosophy and Theology as an adult for an amazing price. If you want a truly Catholic, Classical, high value, affordable program, then this is the only choice.

We have been transitioning to the CLAA for a handful of months with our little children, and I can easily say that the CLAA is the best thing I have ever seen in education, as the CLAA is categorically different from all the rest of education (or “education”) out there, both in their content and approach. There is nothing like it.
I think that one of the biggest strengths of the CLAA staff is their ability to identify the most important and essential things, and pursue those with a deep focus. This seems to be mirrored accross the entire structure of the Academy. As the course contents are simple and highly efficient, designed for mastering one step at a time, I, as a homeschooling mother, now do not need to spend time reading books about homeschooling, watching homeschooling conferences, planning my homeschooling etc. Instead, I have had time freed up to pray the Divine Office, read what the CCC has to say about the duties of parents, and even start studying the liberal arts myself.
At one point I was terribly ill and bed-bound for several weeks, but we still managed to stay on top of all my children’s homeschooling, because everything was already prepared by the CLAA, and I just had to direct and oversee my children’s work.
The staff is generously available for support. I also treasure to read and listen to the resources provided by the CLAA in regards to family discipline; this has been tranforming my parenting and family life. I can already see my eldest (7yrs) begin to develop more independence through following his assessments, and learning the value of good work.
I look forward to investing many years of our family’s study with the CLAA in the future; and it will be a pleasure to continue to support such a excellent offering.

My experience with the CLAA has been outstanding. As an adult student, my initial intention was to explore and determine if this would be the program my wife and I use to homeschool our children (2 under 2 at this point). To say I’m impressed is an understatement. I began my studies shortly after realizing the CLAA is different and it has been so beneficial to my life as a husband and father, and Catholic man in general. I look forward to giving my children a classical Catholic education and that wouldn’t be possible without the CLAA. I believe in and support the mission of the CLAA, and I sincerely appreciate the hard work and dedication of both Mr. and Mrs. Michael. Thank you.

I have homeschooled for 15 years now and have never found anything quite like this program. Many say “classical studies”, however we would end up in the same rut of hurrying through text/workbooks just to get done. We started CLAA September 2022 with our youngest two children and already the results are amazing. From day one my 7th grade son was interested in the Latin and World Chronology. He never enjoyed writing until this year. Now I don’t even have to ask him to write he just does it on his own, in the CLAA and just for fun. I truly appreciate all the work Mr. & Mrs. Michael have put into this truly Catholic Classical curriculum. We are just getting our feet wet, but look forward to a lifetime of studies. God bless the CLAA!

In a world where narratives are being constantly fed to us inside and outside the Church on various topics, it’s good to know we have the Classical liberal arts education, restored in the CLAA, where we can study how to reason and communicate rightly to discern for ourselves these issues of faith and culture. Like Mr. Michael explains, a good education consists of two major parts- Catholic theology and Scholastic philosophy. He and his wife, who are classicists themselves, have done an excellent job researching and restoring a classical liberal arts education for anyone seeking wisdom and truth. The quizzes ensure students are grasping key concepts and vocabulary. This academy is a place where we can turn to for real classical study material without having to figure it all out for ourselves. I found this academy while researching Catholic homeschool curriculum for my children. We’re given an opportunity to dive into the same materials that the saints and wise men have studied throughout history. Studying the faith is only one part of one’s education, while scholastic philosophy helps us reason and communicate those truths we learn in our Catholic faith. His yt videos have helped us understand and trust his work. He backs up his claims with extensive knowledge. He proves over and over what he claims about what a true classical education is and that he wants to help serious Catholic students obtain it. I’m greatly impressed and appreciative and will continue to use his academy for my family for these reasons.

We are new to the CLAA, having just started in Sept 2022. We have ten children and have always homeschooled. Our oldest just graduated from college in December and our youngest just turned two. We value education, having many (most actually!) close family members who are career educators (including my husband who was a college prof [now admin] and myself with an MS in geology and also taught college classes before deciding to stay home). The reasons we decided to switch to CLAA:
- It is incredibly simple bc students just progress through the subjects at their own pace and there are no new books per grade.
- The overall expectations of the students for learning/mastery are high, but the children are led through in small steps and as such, they learn how to study and they develop great study skills and confidence.
- The seven classical liberal arts are studied from original sources, with the guidance of Catholic classicists who share our values.
- The recordkeeping is incredibly simple and helpful! It’s really a game changer. Never before have my children been able to see an up-to-date record of their hard-earned progress plainly right in front of them, so easily, every day. This is huge for large, busy families! The badges and leveling up are a nice touch too.
- With CLAA I’ll never need to lesson plan for core subjects again. This means that I have much more time for my little ones, for planning fun activities, and for household management. Also, if something tragic happens and I (the one who does the schooling) would no longer be able to teach my children, they can simply just keep progressing through their courses, and for a very low cost. The books will never need to be updated because they’re already ancient or in public domain, and are sufficient to use for high school because of the way CLAA has arranged the classes.

I love this school! It goes back to teaching the basics with wisdom and patience. My child can work at her own pace and she is flourishing.

We have been using the Classical Liberal Arts Academy since 2009 with our children. It is the best classical Catholic curriculum available today. I have a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree, and I find the program challenging and rewarding even as an adult student. Absolutely 100% recommended.

It is my deepest desire that my kids would be educated in the same way the saints and ancient philosophers would have been. I cycled through all the other “classical” programs but truly nothing felt quite right. Something always led me on to keep searching. When I finally found CLAA (while my kids are still young thank God) the truth in the teaching came through loud and clear. This beautiful curriculum keeps us steeped in the catholic faith, ancient texts and timeless tales all day long. I’ll never change, for what could be better?

We have used the Student Plan for just about a year. It has everything you need to get started with a Classical Education. The simple design, the price and the material that is available for the Student subscription is remarkable, we all have learned so much. It has brought peace to our home, and my children look forward their studies.

Excellent. I found all I that needed through the CLAA to achieve the goals I set for myself. I think the Headmaster is a godsend to those who in the pursuit of happiness desire to know.

We have had the most amazing experience with CLAA! It has allowed not only our children to gain a wonderful education but as parents we have learned so much too!!!

I’m an adult student, and although I don’t always have as much time as I would like to put into these studies, I try to work on the readings and assignments as often as I can. The breadth and rigor of the CLAA courses is unmatched. I can honestly say that I wish I could have studied at here many years ago instead of attending public high school. Sitting down to work on CLAA coursework or to listen to some of the video tutorials (I have watched almost all of them for all subjects since the beginning) is often one of the greatest highlights of my day. I look forward to seeing what new developments Mr. and Mrs. Michael have in mind for the Academy’s future. Thank you for putting this together and for making it accessible to families and really to anyone who values what a liberal arts education should be.

This academy has a fine selection of curriculum that engages with deep and difficult theological, philosophical, and scientific issues. Mastery of languages is also invaluable to the academy. The school offers a truly classical education in which students can flourish, grow, and mature.

Our experience with the CLAA has been wonderful. There is nothing else out there that can even come close in comparison to what the CLAA offers. The material can be a bit intimidating at first glance, but once you get past that first hurdle you quickly see just how fruitful and necessary it is. We have watched our children learn things in this past year that I never would have thought possible at their age. We have a 13 and a 10-year-old who both study what I would call high school level material and they get through it with ease. Mr. Michael is very helpful with teaching them how to master the content and Mr. and Mrs. Michael always are available to help if more help is needed. The kids love the Live Classes that are now offered and look forward to them every week. If you are looking for something easy this is not the place for you. If you are looking for your kids and you to learn as many of the Saints and wise men of the past did and for a curriculum that will not only help your kids grow intellectually but also grow in virtue, then this is the place for you. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Michael, for the CLAA. We are looking forward to many more years of Study!

This is first year we home-school our son A–. Our family moved temporarily oversees, because I am very ill. We had to complete with A– the local education program, but we are returning to CLAA now. Me and my husband have completed our education in Poland, we both have masters in our profession, but English is our second or third language. We both were born and raised in Catholic faith. We have experience with private catholic school in US and we are not satisfied with their approach in teaching Catholic children. CLAA is an incredible “place”, where the curriculum is amazing and “rich” of material and knowledge we always looked for. I can’t wait to spend more time to learn more Catholic education so I can teach better my son. I never found such a complex and rich curriculum like this in CLAA. I hope this school gets the accreditation, which they deserve like no other school. God bless you in your work CLAA school!

Our experience with the Classical Liberal Arts Academy has been life changing. Mr. Michael’s leadership, knowledge, communications and instruction are exceptional. The CLAA course content and organization is excellent. We are currently in the process of transitioning our children to the Classical Liberal Arts Academy curriculum from a modern school and have started our study in some of the CLAA courses. Our family has already learned so much and we are looking forward to when we will be able to immerse ourselves in our studies with CLAA on a full time basis. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Michael for sharing the Classical Liberal Arts Academy, your knowledge and your time with us!

The Classical Liberal Arts Academy is the best homeschool curriculum available. It has changed our lives! It is TRULY classical. We have used CLAA for 11 years. In that time I can say that our children’s ability and knowledge in almost every subject has surpassed anything available in the same grade levels in public, private, or other homeschool curricula. Our children from 7 years old have learned to read and translate the Gospel of John in Latin, study the Scriptures and ancient philosophers (beginning with Aesop’s Fables) and memorize the Baltimore Catechism on a daily basis. I have never felt that any of the work our children did was busy work. The online delivery of lessons and assessments means that we are not tied to a brick and mortar “co-op” or “hybrid” school schedule, with all of the expense and time those entail. The Family Plan allows our ENTIRE family to study for a fraction of the cost of other homeschool programs and co-ops.
The availability of chat help throughout each day means that we have expert help from REAL classicists in Mr. and Mrs. Michael. We are free to plan our schedule and carry our work with us, instead of being burdened with many books. For example, my children take Tae Kwon Do classes. The online lessons mean that we can take our laptops with us and the older children can finish work while the younger ones take their age level class and vice-versa.
Helpful videos and articles by William and Dania Michael give wise advice on a broad range of topics for homeschooling families.
My husband and I both have MA degrees in Theology, and we both have learned more from the CLAA than our undergraduate and graduate degrees combined! This curriculum is the answer to many homechool problems.
