A homeschooling parent wrote the following, which clarifies the use of Academy enrollment:
“While I feel confident keeping one child in the Extern enrollment, I believe another might benefit from the Academy enrollment. My primary consideration is that the written assessments are what benefited him most last year. While I recognize that I could grade each of his written assignments, realistically my other child’s tutorship is a bit involved as we are still working on independent reading skills, and with a toddler running around and a newborn expected in a few months, I have to be realistic concerning how much time I actually have to give in a day. Secondarily, I believe his organizational skills may improve under the expectations of someone other than mom, if I am present for support.”
