What’s the difference between examinations and quizzes in the CLAA?

The Classical Liberal Arts Academy offers two different kinds of online assessments: quizzes and examinations.

Quizzes are included at the lesson level, to allow students to develop and demonstrate their mastery of lesson content. Quizzes are normally not timed and may be completed with the use of notes.

Examinations are offered at the course level, to measure student mastery of course objectives. Exams are strictly timed and may not be completed with the use of notes.
