True classical education begins with the study of the classical languages: Greek and Latin.
There is no reason why all students in the Classical Liberal Arts Academy cannot become fluent readers of Greek and Latin, and it is my desire to see Catholic students able to do so.
If you enroll a student in the Academy's Greek Reading I course, you will find a set of videos at the top of the course page, in which I teach students everything they need to begin reading classical Greek.
Catholics have no excuse to not know these languages. Pope Pius XII warned of this:
"There are now such abundant aids to the study of these languages that the biblical scholar, who by neglecting them would deprive himself of access to the original texts, could in no wise escape the stigma of levity and sloth."
Let's not allow that to be true of us.
