2. How do I enroll in free CLAA courses?

Log in to your account, then go to the Student Center home page. Select your desired course from the course list and enter your enrollment key. The course will open up immediately and you can begin your studies.

To request a free enrollment key by email, complete the free enrollment key form.

4. How do I create user accounts for my child(ren) in the CLAA Study Center?

To create accounts for your children, do exactly what you did to create your own account in #1 above. All of your children will need unique usernames, but you may use one email for all of your accounts.

5. How do I enroll my children in CLAA courses?

To enroll your children in courses, log in to a student’s account and then add courses as explained in #2 above.

6. What benefits are available with free enrollment?

Free enrollment provides students with:

  • access to all desired courses
  • access to all required study materials
  • access to all tutorial video content
  • access to all online lesson quizzes
  • access to all written lesson assessments

Parents and students can receive expert support as needed on the Academy Forums.

7. What books are required for CLAA courses?

All necessary study materials are provided online for students, making no book purchases necessary. Nevertheless, if parents wish to purchase printed copies of texts studied in CLAA courses, they can do so through the Academy Bookstore. This is not necessary for success in the CLAA.

8. Why is the CLAA offering free enrollment in all of its online courses?

The mission of the CLAA is to restore classical Catholic education, as a work of mercy, for the good of the Church and the glory of God. The Academy staff has been working for over 20 years to research, restore and publish the online courses and is committed to making them freely available to all who wish to study them. Through simplicity of life, good health and hard work, we are able to share–and intend to do so more and more over time.

PAID ENROLLMENT

1. What benefits are available with paid enrollment?

While we can afford to offer all of our courses freely, we must charge an affordable fee for direct, personal services offered. Paid enrollment adds the following services to all that’s freely available:

  • written assignment review and grading
  • live tutorial support by live chat and email.

These benefits radically affect student progress.

2. What options are available for paid enrollment?

There are two options for paid enrollment. First, paid enrollment may be purchased for an individual course. Paid enrollment for one course costs $125 and offers a student access to the course with paid enrollment benefits for as long as the student continues in the course. Enrollment may be paid at once or in 3, 6 or 10 monthly payments. For details, see the Academy Catalog. Second, paid enrollment may be purchased for all courses by subscription. This can be done for an individual student using the Student Plan ($25/mo.), or for an entire family using the Family Plan ($100/mo.). Most students with paid enrollments make use of our subscription plans.

3. How do I enroll in CLAA courses with paid enrollment?

If you subscribe to the Student Plan or Family Plan, you will use an enrollment key to add any courses you wish to your student accounts. The enrollment key for subscribers is simply “suscribers”. Note that this will create a different type of enrollment in each course, allowing students to submit assignments for grading and more.

When paid enrollment is purchased for an individual course, we manually enroll the student in the course and set the student’s account to paid enrollment.

4. What happens if I cancel my enrollment subscription?

When a subscription is canceled or is suspended for non-payment, the student enrollment is set to free enrollment status and the benefits of paid enrollment are no longer available.

5. Is financial aid available?

Yes. Any student who desires to study the classical Catholic curriculum and is capable of doing so may request financial assistance if his parents are unable to afford paid enrollment.
