Study Classical Medicine

Hippocrates
Hippocrates (460-370 BC)

If you’re not an admirer of modern medicine, but would like to learn to think of the body as the ancient wise men did, you can study classical Medicine.

The masters on the subject are the famous Greek Hippocrates, and the Roman Galen. The teachings of these men on the art and science of medicine were held throughout most of Christian history, and were taken for granted by great saints like Thomas Aquinas.

In the Classical Liberal Arts Academy’s “Classical Catholic Library“, you can find the works of these ancient masters, in English translation. They are listed under “Natural Philosophy”.

I recommend them to all Catholic students and assure you that you will find them very interesting and helpful. Perhaps they could be used by future Catholic doctors to improve medical care.

God bless your studies,
Mr. William C. Michael
