Free Classical Catholic Library

RE:  Free Classical Catholic Library

Dear friends,

We have entered into our 13th year, giving full-time service to our mission “to research, restore, publish and teach the classical liberal arts.”  We have succeeded in restoring the classical liberal arts curriculum, along with the classical philosophy and Catholic theology studies to make a complete program of classical Catholic education available online.

Our next project will be re-publishing all of the source texts for our online courses in a Classical Catholic Library that will provide free access to these resources.  This work is now underway and can be viewed here:

This will, of course, be in development this year, and will be messy as we fill out the library, but it will be a collection of freshly published texts that will allow families and schools to serve the classical Catholic curriculum in the future.

This online library will serve all of our online courses with easy-to maintain source texts that will allow for easy editing and access–for instructors and students.  As the online versions of the works is completed, we will make printed editions available as an option for offline studies.

The full texts needed for our English Literature I courses–Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, and Vergil’s Aeneid–are already available for study.  Theophrastus’ Characters is full published and all of the lesson content of my World Chronology course is also available.  The library will also include a complete online copy of the Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible for our Sacred Scripture courses–and much more.

Please feel free to use the library and share its content, being patient with us as we publish the materials online.

God bless,
William C. Michael, Headmaster
Classical Liberal Arts Academy
