Catholic Family Movie Recommendations: The Adventures of Robin Hood

We receive requests from parents for recommendations for books, movies and music for children, which reinforce our mission in promote classical Catholic education and culture.  Our family has an incredible amount of resources to share, and I’ll be doing this one by one through posts on the website under the category “Recommendations”.  I am not interested in writing reviews for films or books because if it’s not good–who cares?  I hope you find these helpful.

The first video series I’d like to recommend is an excellent television series that was published in 1956 titled, “The Adventures of Robin Hood“.  There are (at least) four seasons consisting of 30 or so episodes, each just under 30 minutes long.

These are excellent shows, absolute no immorality whatsoever, good for children of all ages.  I enjoy them as much as my kids do.

God bless,

  1. Hi, thanks! Have you seen the Horatio Hornblower BBC series? Very good series about loyalty and leadership.

    God bless,
