How to Complete & Submit an Assignment for Review

Students have three options for submitting work to be graded.

I. Submit Assignment as a Ticket

  1. Create a support ticket and type or paste the content of your assignment (questions included).  Students subscribed to Premium Support may submit assignments on live chat for immediate grading.
  2. Your assignment will be graded and returned to you by email.

II.  Submit PDF

It is good to submit a PDF when an assignment has been completed by hand on paper or using some document tool other than Google Docs, or if you’d simply like your assignment to be graded by hand.

A.  Hand-Written Work

  1. If you have completed an assignment on paper, by hand, you must scan the paper and save it as a PDF.  You can do this easily using the Adobe Scan app.  You can also scan an assignment using a printer scanner.
  2. Note:  Photos of assignments may not be submitted for grading.
  3. Create a support ticket and attach your PDF for grading.  Students subscribed to Premium Support may submit assignments on live chat for immediate grading.
  4. Your assignment will be graded and returned to you by email.

B.  Work Not Completed Using Google Docs (Word, Open Office, etc.)

  1. After your assignment is completed, save or print is as a PDF.
  2. Create a support ticket and attach your PDF for grading.  Students subscribed to Premium Support may submit assignments on live chat for immediate grading.
  3. Your assignment will be graded and returned to you by email.

III.  Submit Link to Google Doc

For the fastest and most detailed grading response, choose this method.

  1. In a lesson, a link to a Google Doc will be provided for each assignment.
  2. Click on the link to open the assignment document in Google Docs.
  3. Make a copy of the assignment document and save it to your own Google Drive.  To do this: Select File > Make a Copy
  4. Clean up the name of your copy of the assignment document and save to your Google Drive.
  5. Complete the assignment.
  6. When finished, click on the blue “Share” button in the top, right corner.
  7. Add my email:  mail@classicalliberalarts.com to share the document.
  8. Set me as an “Editor” for the document, so I can add comments and mark the document.
  9. Create a support ticket and attach your PDF for grading.  Students subscribed to Premium Support may submit assignments on live chat for immediate grading.
  10. Your assignment will be graded and returned to you by email.
