It’s in fashion today for men claiming to be “traditional Cathollics” to set themselves up as critics of the hierarchy of the Church. These men pretend to do so because they are smart and faithful, but, if we examine things more carefully, we will see that they are not only shallow-minded and weak in faith, but do the devil’s work of amplifying and exaggerating the problems in the Church for personal profit. In my walk talk this afternoon, I discussed the problem with this thinking and proposed a solution.
