All of the content for English Literature I should be completely available on Wednesdsay, March 31. This course provides the content for the first of four high school English literature courses.
In this course, I intend to lead students through poetic English translations of the four most influential works of classical Greek and Roman literature:
- Homer’s Iliad
- Homer’s Odyssey
- Vergil’s Aeneid
- Ovid’s Metamorphoses
I will be making tutorial videos for each of the lessons in this course providing a full course of instruction worthy of one high school credit for Catholic students.
What’s most unique and significant about this course is that in it, I will “kill two birds with one stone”. I will introduce students to the content of classical literature, while also introducing them to the work of several of the greatest English poets, including Alexander Pope (1688-1744) and John Dryden (1631-1700).
The content of this course is free for all to enjoy. Assessments and tutorial videos will be available to enrolled students.
God bless your studies,
